Distancists
Dear People of Earth!
Distance is not a religion. You cannot say you do not believe in distance. Distance is a measurement, physics. Yes, lifestyles and philosophies have been created in response to its existence and track is life but distance itself is not a RELIGION! If I hear another Sprinter or wannabe Sprinter or Coach talk about they don't believe in distance like it's Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, I am going to explode!!!!!!
PS. To those coaches that "don't believe in distance," that's why your team is slow! If your sprinters ran distance, they would be poised for constant growth and improvement and be in better position to break records...instead you go around exploiting their talents without investing anything in that Sprinter. That's why your athletes are pissed and depressed! The greatest Olympians run/ran distance in preparation for their events: FloJo, Wilma Rudolph, Lee Evans, Michael Johnson, Usain Bolt, Allyson Felix, Cathy Freeman, Carmelita Jeter...they run/ran it. What makes you think you are too good for distance? Get out of here and quit damaging my sport!
Much love for distance as it is at the foundation of my success.
