History and the Human Condition

Today's thought: History strives to capture the human condition. Yet, history does not bother to understand the systems that created the human condition. Consequently, readers/researchers/consumers cannot fully understand the past, current, and future condition of humanity. They see the state of humanity for face value and never see the core, the causes shaping the human experience.
